WE DON'T LIKE
Crowdestor is recommended for the more speculative part of your portfolio. It delivers a steady supply of diverse opportunities, recently introduced a buyback fund, and has delivered excellent performance so far. However, the platform is new and still to be proven in the long run.
Crowdestor is offering the opportunity to invest in business and real estate loans, mostly in Eastern Europe. The loan durations are normally 6-24 months, against very interesting average interest rates of 14%+. All loans on the platform have collateral backed and/or covered by the Buyback Fund.
What is Crowdestor?
Crowdestor is a marketplace for peer-to-peer lending which allows users to invest directly in loans granted on the platform.
The loans are related to variety of real estate and business projects across different sectors. All loans are listed in EUR.
Crowdestor offers a limited selection of projects, usually one to four at any given point in time, but projects are generally of good quality and with high interest rates.
How do I get started on Crowdestor?
Signing up for Crowdestor is easy, quick and comparable with other peer to peer platforms in Europe.
To be able to sign up you must be at least 18 years old and have a bank account in one of the EU or EEZ banks. You will be required to upload a picture if your ID card, and ID verification will take about a day.
You can start investing from € 50. After transferring the funds you are ready to choose the project to invest in. We recommended to sign up for the newsletter as new projects, especially the high interest ones, are funded within hours.
Is Crowdestor safe to use?
Although performance in the last two years has been excellent, Crowdestor is a young platform and long term success still needs to be proven.
Crowdestor is involved as financier or developer in every project on the platform which ensures accountability and provides trust in the projects offered on the platform.
The recent addition of a Buyback Fund is very promising. Although the fund is quite small still (± €150k in October 2019) it does provide extra security and ensures that all loans on the platform have collateral backed and/or covered by the Buyback Fund.
Crowdestor at this point does not offer an early exit option at this time nor a secondary market.
